About the expo
Furniture Component Expo was created in response to member demand. At the time, there was no dedicated UK event bringing together the furniture manufacturing supply chain in one place, so the British Furniture Association developed an event designed by the industry, for the industry.
As an industry-led event, any profit generated is reinvested back into supporting the sector through education, lobbying, and events that help the industry grow and stay informed.
What’s on show
Exhibitors showcase products and services for the furniture manufacturing industry, while the seminar theatre offers a programme of industry insight and discussion.
Previous sessions have covered a wide range of topics, including sustainability and the environment, timber legislation, training and skills, and customer service, giving both exhibitors and visitors useful knowledge they can take back into their businesses.
Who visits
The expo attracts a wide range of decision-makers involved in furniture manufacturing, including designers, research and product developers, CEOs and managing directors, purchasers and buyers, and quality control managers.
More than half of visitors are actively looking for new innovation, making the expo a valuable place to discover fresh ideas, new products, and practical solutions.
Visitor numbers have grown by more than 15% since the event launched in 2024, reflecting the show’s increasing relevance to the industry.

The British Furniture Association (BFA) is a trade association, which has represented the interests of the nation’s furniture industry since 1949. We have a rich history that includes a range of well-known members.
Our mission is to support British furniture suppliers, manufacturers and retailers by fostering collaboration, liaising with Government, and promoting a thriving, sustainable industry.
Membership is designed to enhance your business and your business interests as part of a collective body supporting your industry. It is open to manufacturing companies in all sectors including upholstery, cabinet, bathroom, kitchen, and office furniture, and mattresses and beds, as well as suppliers to the industry and furniture retailers who stock British-made furniture.
We provide regular industry updates through our news and blogs and analyse key trends keeping members up-to-date and identify opportunities within the sector.
BFA was the original organiser of the January Furniture Show, which is now run by Clarion and takes place at the NEC over 4 days.
