National trade body the British Furniture Association (BFA) has unveiled a new addition to the Furniture Component Expo, that puts innovation centre stage at the event.
The Innovation Trail is being launched at the 2026 show, to showcase the most forward-thinking products in the furniture industry.
Sponsored by Blum Group, this new feature gives exhibitors the opportunity to shine a light on genuine innovation, and to capture the attention of buyers at the show.
Phil Spademan, MD of the BFA, said: “The Innovation Trail is a showcase for a product that’s less than 18 months old, is making its first appearance at FCE 26, and demonstrates real innovation that meets the needs of the industry.
“Successful entries will enjoy enhanced visibility at the event, including a floor sticker in front of their stand marked ‘I’m in the Innovation Trail,’ as well as a highlighted position on the floorplan and in the official show guide.
“There will also be the opportunity for additional promotion through PR and social media activity.”
Offering a one-stop-shop opportunity for furniture makers, FCE 26 enables manufacturers of cabinet, upholstery, beds and mattresses to review, network and purchase products from leading suppliers, all under one roof.
The BFA is also broadening the scope to include the kitchen and bathroom sector, contract furniture and interiors sector.
Phil Spademan, added: “All signs are already pointing to our biggest year to date for the event, which fills a much-needed gap for the industry.”
The BFA’s Furniture Component Expo 26 takes place at Telford International Centre on March 11th and 12th.
